Payment Plans 2.0

Payment plans are more powerful than ever; we’ve added two great new features:

Allocations

You can allocate procedures to payment plans. Payment plan calculations are now included in payment allocations and insurance reimbursements.

Payment Plans Post to Open Dental

Payment plans created in Crown now post to Open Dental. Get a snapshot of remaining balances, payment activity, and more, all without leaving Open Dental.

Note:
This feature is not enabled by default. If you’d like payment plans posted to Open Dental, click the name in the top right corner of Crown, click “Settings > Open Dental,” and enable “Post Payment Plans to Open Dental”. This setting will post newly created payment plans, existing plans are unaffected.

Voids & Refunds

For allocated transactions, when processing a void or refund, the original amount is issued back to the individual procedure balances in Open Dental. Partial refunds for allocated transactions are reduced based on their percentage of the original amount.

Insurance Reimbursements

You can now add Remarks from EOB at the procedure level when processing reimbursements.
