Note: Please confirm you’re on Open Dental version 20.5 or above before proceeding. You can find the version number by clicking Help > About in Open Dental. Please close down Open Dental after confirming the version number.
Click here to download the latest plugin file. You may have to unzip the file to access the OpenDentalPoyntPlugin.dll file.
Move and replace the existing file by dragging it to the Open Dental directory located at
Local Disk (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Open Dental
Unblock the File: Since this file was downloaded from the internet, Open Dental may require you to unblock the file. To confirm, right-mouse click on the OpenDentalPoyntPlugin.dll file in the Open Dental directory, and click Properties. If the file needs to be unblocked, there will be a checkbox in the bottom right corner of the window. Check the Unblock checkbox and click OK. If you don’t see this checkbox, you can close down the window.
Launch Open Dental and navigate to the payment screen. If the version number reads 2.3.1.0 or greater, you’re good to go.
Note: You may have to reconnect the Poynt terminal. You can do that by clicking the “Connect to Poynt” button and typing in the IP address displayed in the Moolah Bridge app on the Poynt terminal.
